Job Description: 

We are seeking a motivated Facilities Engineering Intern.  Offering exposure to both facilities/ technical engineering systems and program development & management.

Facilities Engineering

• Assist in the maintenance and operation of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems
• Help conduct facility system health assessments, structure problem solving analytic.
• Help maintain facility documentation, drawings, and equipment records
• Assist with sustainability initiatives and environmental compliance.

Program development 

• Create video content for training materials, safety procedures, and facility tours
• Develop motion graphics for presentations and internal communications
• Edit and produce multimedia content for facility-related projects
• Document facility improvements and maintenance procedures through video
• Support creation of digital signage and wayfinding materials
• Assist with virtual facility tours and promotional materials

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, multimedia or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Secondary Skills

• Video Editing: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
• Motion Graphics: Experience with Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, or equivalent programs
• Multimedia Production: Knowledge of camera operation, lighting, and audio recording
• Graphic Design: Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Content Creation: Experience creating educational or training content
• Photography: Basic photography skills for documentation purposes

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Building Information Modelling (BIM) software experience
• Energy management systems knowledge
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
• Familiarity with facility management software (CMMS)
• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations
