With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

As a Software Developer, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle (e.g., planning, designing, developing, and shipping new features). You will enhance existing Chrome behaviors, including an emphasis on code design and authoring. Your responsibilities also include crafting test plans, writing automated tests, debugging, and deploying experiments. You will work closely with cross-functional partners (Product Management/UX) throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning and design to analysis and launch.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 144,000-148,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product managers and UX designers to deliver features to improve the lives of enterprise users.
  • Design, develop, test and deploy software features.
  • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise.
  • Work in the open-source Chromium repository and in internal Google server codebases. 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in C++ or Java.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with client side development in desktop, Android, or mobile app development.
  • Experience with C++ or Java.
  • Ability to work on user-facing features, collaborating with cross-functional peers.
