Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Data Scientist to transform our change and problem management analytics through advanced AI/ML capabilities and predictive modeling. This role will lead the development of cutting-edge data science solutions that drive operational excellence, leveraging recent AI trends to predict incidents, optimize change processes, and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership. You will be responsible for building sophisticated data mining frameworks, trend analysis models, and executive-level reporting dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making across technology operations.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced data science models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Drive best practices in data science.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity in all processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in data science.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Analytics & AI Implementation

  • Design and deploy machine learning models to predict incident patterns, MTTR trends, and change risk factors
  • Implement AI-powered anomaly detection systems for proactive problem identification
  • Develop predictive algorithms for capacity planning, resource optimization, and risk assessment
  • Build automated data pipelines integrating ServiceNow, incident management systems, and operational data sources

Executive Reporting & Data Visualization

  • Create sophisticated, executive-ready dashboards and reports for CTO staff meetings and senior leadership
  • Transform complex operational metrics into strategic insights
  • Design real-time monitoring solutions with actionable KPIs and trend visualizations
  • Deliver best-in-class data storytelling that drives strategic initiatives

Stakeholder Collaboration & Best Practices

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements
  • Drive data science best practices, governance standards, and quality assurance frameworks
  • Establish repeatable methodologies for data mining, trend analysis, and forecasting
  • Present findings and recommendations to VP+ level stakeholders with clarity and impact

Data Quality & Mentorship

  • Ensure data integrity, validation, and reliability across all analytical processes
  • Mentor junior data scientists and analysts on advanced techniques and tools
  • Stay current with AI/ML trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in data analytics

Expected Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field (OR equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Proven expertise in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive audiences
  • Strong AI hands on coding experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with IT operations, incident management, problem management and change management analytics.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, ITSM platforms, or operational data systems.
  • Background in predictive modeling, time-series forecasting, or anomaly detection
  • Track record of delivering executive-level reporting and strategic insights.

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:

Primary Location | Pay Range:

San Jose, California | ($143,500.00 - $212,850.00 Annually)

Additional Location(s) | Pay Range:
