Lead Group Product Manager, Hiring and Onboarding Products

We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
The POps Engineering team builds people technology solutions that underpin the entirety of a Googler’s career. We partner with People Operations to create experiences for Googlers that power them to do their best work.
The POps Engineering organization is seeking a leader to develop and lead an innovative, AI-Forward digital product strategy and goals for our Hiring and Onboarding technology transformation that reshapes how we think about supporting Googlers. This transformation is centered on creating seamless user experiences powered by AI and connected data to maximize business value and create unparalleled experiences. This role requires cultivating a deep understanding of the needs of Hiring and Onboarding stakeholders, leaders across Google and employees to develop and drive a cohesive and engaged digital product strategy, roadmap, and execution.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Define the product goals, strategy and roadmap for the Hiring and Onboarding Product Area. Translate business objectives into specific product outcomes.
- Conduct deep customer discovery to validate the Four Big Risks (Value, Usability, Feasibility, Viability) using prototypes and data-backed experiments.
- Use AI to boost impact and enhance product capabilities. Identify opportunities where Generative AI can solve enterprise workflow problems and provide predictive insights for HR leaders.
- Advocate the ethical use of AI in HR tech, ensuring all automated solutions are transparent, unbiased, and compliant with global people-data standards.
- Advocate the product goals across the executive portfolio, partnering with Vice President (VP) stakeholders to navigate complex business needs and define a strategy that maximizes ROI and accelerates business value.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc).
- 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.
- Experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) product management with enterprise products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
- 10 years of people management including leading, mentoring, and growing high-performing Product teams in modern product discovery techniques environments.
- Experience utilizing AI/ML foundations, including ethical development and AI-powered product life-cycles.
- Experience making prioritization decisions and allocating resources to deliver profound business impact through complex, strategic investments.
- Executive level communication skills, with the ability to define the problem space, align it with business strategy, and present a technical solution for senior leadership.
