Robinhood is looking for a skilled Senior Manager to join our rapidly growing team. This role will be reporting to the Senior Director of Tax. You will help lead our tax team to support new global product launches and corporate transactions in pursuit of the company-wide objectives.

The Senior Manager Tax, Product and M&A position will be located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as a tax team lead to collaborate with product, legal, and finance teams to identify tax risks and opportunities related to new product launches and business initiatives
  • Analyze new initiatives and provide comprehensive income and indirect tax requirements based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders 
  • Drive system requirements and testing on new initiatives with engineers and data teams 
  • Lead tax structuring planning opportunities related to domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, and reorganizations 
  • Conduct and oversee tax due diligence for potential acquisitions and investments
  • Manage post-acquisition tax integration planning and partner closely with legal, finance, and corporate development teams to ensure tax requirements are met
  • Monitor changes in US and foreign tax law as they related to Robinhood’s operations
  • Manage external advisors to collect feedback from subject matter experts as required

What you bring

  • 10 or more years of corporate tax experience with a Law Firm, Big 4 accounting firm and/or corporate tax department
  • Possess a solid understanding of broad corporate income tax concepts including experience with M&A transactions and tax implications of foreign operations
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication (both written & verbal) and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to distill complex tax concepts into clear, actionable advice for both tax and non-tax stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills utilizing MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline driven, dynamic environment
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance, MS in Tax, J.D. or CPA preferred

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

Base Pay Range:

Zone 1 (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC)

$170,000-$200,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$150,000-$176,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)

$133,000-$156,000 USD
