MySQL Principal Solution Engineer

As a Principal Sales Consultant, you will be a key contributor to the MySQL Global Business Unit's success, which is experiencing remarkable growth. This role offers an opportunity to shape the sales strategy and contribute to the overall success of Oracle's Global Software Practice. You will be responsible for driving sales of MySQL products and services, including the MySQL Database Service and HeatWave, a revolutionary analytics engine, to both new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for MySQL products and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with the MySQL Global Business Unit and cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with product development and marketing initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and provide technical expertise to customers, ensuring a deep understanding of MySQL's capabilities.
• Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Work closely with the sales team to identify and qualify leads, and develop effective sales proposals and presentations.
• Provide pre-sales support, including conducting product evaluations, creating proof of concepts, and addressing customer queries.
• Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote MySQL products and services and establish Oracle's thought leadership.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing feedback and insights to the product development team, contributing to the enhancement of MySQL offerings.
• Ensure compliance with Oracle's sales policies and procedures, maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
