Program Manager, Data Center Equipment Supply Planning

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.
Responsibilities
- Manage material supply, including inventory, to meet existing and new product demand requirements to meet business goals, coordinating with demand planning on changes to demand which impacts delivery of key components as demand needs fluctuate.
- Identify and quickly solve supply chain gaps and inefficiencies. Clearly document process solutions and requirements. Define and manage clear business metrics and goals to manage supply chain performance.
- Leverage Market intelligence and Statistical inputs towards driving continued, sustained improvements of inventory models and supply chain buffers.
- Develop supply models to minimize total costs and inventories while maintaining service levels, develop and justify inventory buffer strategies that optimize cost and flexibility.
- Drive long capacity plans for the sustaining and new product components and work cross-functionally to term capacity and supply strategy.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience in relevant industry.
- 2 years of experience in program or project management.
- 2 years of experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems.
- Experience using supply planning and material requirements planning tools.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or Master’s degree in Business Process Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related planning disciplines.
- Certification in Supply Chain.
- Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and tools.
- Experience in planning materials for new product launches and transitions.
- Experience in Analytics/SQL/BigQuery.
- Experience in development and implementation of planning systems and processes and knowledge of sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes.
