Software Engineer III, Carbon Footprint, Google Cloud

- Participate in the full cycle of development such as design to implementation and testing of carbon footprint data pipelines, reporting, predictions, carbon reduction recommendations.
- Participate in monitoring and debugging efforts as on-call (e.g., during business hours).
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
- Improve and optimize the carbon calculation methodology.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Experience in data engineering, building and maintaining large datasets and pipelines.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with SQL pipelines and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with carbon accounting or energy data.
