Advanced Hardware Benchmarking Intern

What you’ll achieve

As an Advanced Hardware Benchmarking intern, you will be responsible for assisting the team in various benchmarking activities, whether on advanced computing devices such as dNPU or GPU or on Photonics interconnect devices. You will work with senior team members of our Advanced Hardware Technology R&D Team and contribute towards the development of emerging AI solutions.

You will:

Work in the hardware lab
Assisting in benchmarking of new hardware accelerator
Assisting in benchmarking photonics components
Presentation of design results/expectations, and participation in designs/testbed reviews.

Essential Requirements

Currently enrolled in an MS studying Electrical Engineering with a focus on hardware accelerators and optical communications.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.
Good communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Programming experience in Python, VHDL/Verilog, and C/C++

Desirable Requirements

Knowledge of essential hardware including but not limited to accelerators, memories, optical components.
Experience in Deep Learning or Machine Learning is an asset.
Relevant courses in information theory, optical communications.

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This role offers an hourly rate of $39.02/hr
