About the role:
As the Head of International Marketing at Anthropic, you will lead our regional marketing strategy across international regions, driving pipeline generation and revenue growth for our rapidly expanding international enterprise business. This is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and sales execution, responsible for building and scaling a high-performing international marketing organization that accelerates enterprise adoption of Claude across diverse global markets.
You will own the full spectrum of international marketing activities—from field marketing and executive events to account-based marketing and regional campaigns—ensuring tight alignment with our international sales organization and global marketing centers of excellence. You'll partner closely with regional sales leadership across EMEA and APAC to develop programs that generate qualified pipeline, accelerate deal velocity, and strengthen relationships with our most strategic enterprise accounts.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing leader who has built and scaled regional marketing functions across multiple international markets in high-growth technology environments. You bring a strong track record of driving measurable business outcomes through integrated marketing programs, and you thrive in environments where you can be both a strategic architect and hands-on operator. You understand the nuances of marketing across different regions, cultures, and regulatory environments, and know how to deploy marketing investments that move opportunities through the funnel in diverse international markets
Responsibilities:

-
Partner directly with international sales leadership (EMEA Industries, EMEA Startups/Mid-Market/DNB, and APAC country leaders) to establish shared goals, identify high-value opportunities, and create programs that support account penetration and expansion
-
Own regional pipeline targets and marketing-generated revenue metrics across international markets, establishing clear attribution models and reporting frameworks
-
Lead executive engagement programs including C-suite roundtables, advisory boards, and strategic customer events that build relationships with senior decision-makers across EMEA and APAC
-
Design and execute high-impact presence at key international industry conferences and trade shows, including ancillary events, executive meetings, and thought leadership opportunities in major markets like London, Paris, Munich, Tokyo, Singapore, and Sydney
-
Develop account-based marketing strategies for enterprise and strategic accounts across international markets, partnering with sales to deliver personalized engagement that accelerates deal cycles
-
Collaborate with global marketing centers of excellence (brand, content, digital, product marketing, communications) to localize and activate global campaigns for international audiences, ensuring cultural relevance and market fit
-
Partner with cloud partner marketing teams (AWS, GCP, Microsoft) to develop joint go-to-market programs and leverage partner investment across international regions
-
Create regional marketing programs that address the specific needs of key industry verticals and market segments, adapting approaches for regional maturity and market dynamics
-
Navigate and adapt marketing strategies to address regional regulatory environments, data privacy requirements, and local business practices
-

-
Serve as a strategic voice for international markets within the broader marketing organization, sharing regional insights and customer feedback that inform global strategy
-
Build relationships with key international customers and prospects, representing Anthropic's marketing function in strategic customer engagements and executive meetings

How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
