Software Developer Intern

We are scaling our 5G wireless O-RAN team and looking for a driven Software Developer Intern with a passion for building Cloud and On Prem Orchestration Software in our Ottawa R&D hub. You will:

  • Develop cutting‑edge private wireless technology by writing clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
  • Collaborate with other developers through code reviews, daily stand‑ups, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Participate in the development, testing, and debugging of cloud‑based applications.
  • Contribute to clear and maintainable documentation for codebases, APIs, and system components.
  • Continuously learn and apply new and exciting technologies, frameworks, and tools as part of day‑to‑day development work.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Strong understanding of software development fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented programming (OOP).
  • Hands‑on experience with one or more programming languages such as Golang, JavaScript, Python, or Java.
  • Knowledge of microservice architecture, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and a demonstrated willingness to learn and grow.

Desirable Requirements

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with relational databases and basic query concepts.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and team workflows.

Compensation  

  • Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly pay range for this role is $20.00/hr-$30.60/hr
