Software Developer Intern

We are scaling our 5G wireless O-RAN team and looking for a driven Software Developer Intern with a passion for building Cloud and On Prem Orchestration Software in our Ottawa R&D hub. You will:

Develop cutting‑edge private wireless technology by writing clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
Collaborate with other developers through code reviews, daily stand‑ups, and sprint planning sessions.
Participate in the development, testing, and debugging of cloud‑based applications.
Contribute to clear and maintainable documentation for codebases, APIs, and system components.
Continuously learn and apply new and exciting technologies, frameworks, and tools as part of day‑to‑day development work.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Strong understanding of software development fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented programming (OOP).
Hands‑on experience with one or more programming languages such as Golang, JavaScript, Python, or Java.
Knowledge of microservice architecture, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Strong problem‑solving abilities and a demonstrated willingness to learn and grow.

Desirable Requirements

Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiarity with relational databases and basic query concepts.
Understanding of Agile development methodologies and team workflows.

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly pay range for this role is $20.00/hr-$30.60/hr
