
5G Test and Automation Intern

What you’ll achieve
As an undergraduate intern, you will be part of the team building Dell’s 5G fully automated test framework and accelerating our customer releases. As part of our 5G team, you will work with a cross functional global team to design, build and deliver production ready software that aligns with Dell standards and reputation.
You will:
- Work in an agile environment delivering world class automation tools and solutions
- Get exposed to state of the art technologies and tooling stack used to deliver Dell’s Telco 5G product
- Develop and execute automated checkers and scans for our production code
- Work side by side with developers, product owner, program manager and key executives to plan ongoing feature development and product maintenance
- Assist in the definition of the integration, verification, and automation test strategies for the end to end 5G mobile network ensuring delivery of high-quality product releases.

Essential Requirements
- Prior exposure to test automation frameworks (PyTest, Playwright ).
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with at least one automation/orchestration tool (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub).
- Proficiency in Python scripting language; ability to write clean, reusable scripts.
- Familiarity with Linux command‑line environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge of 5G/telecom architectures and related networking components.
- Exposure to container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Understanding of version‑control best practices (branching, pull‑request workflow).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and related CI/CD integrations.
Compensation
- Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The hourly range for this role is $20.00/hr-$30.60/hr
