Global Category Business Senior Associate, Pixel Phones
In this role, you will drive action and lead initiatives to maximize our business growth. You will collaborate with various cross-functional teams to implement data-driven processes and workflows that optimize business performance. You will continuously improve existing processes to drive efficiency and quality across the organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading compliance with key commercial obligations, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities to drive increased year-over-year performance for the Pixel Phones category.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$170,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the business, partners, and industry trends to inform decision-making.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze data and provide insights for business growth and profitability.
- Develop and implement data-driven approaches to measure promotional and pricing effectiveness, recommending improvements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and develop new investigative methods.
- Navigate a complex global organization, build strong stakeholder relationships, and articulate commercial impact.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or graduate degree.
- 5 years of experience within a mobile phone OEM or carrier business.
- Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives on a global scale.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), supply and demand forecasting, and running simulations.
- Experience succeeding in roles related to business intelligence, product management, commercial strategy, or go-to-market within the mobile or consumer electronics industry.
- Understanding of the mobile industry, including carriers, handsets, and related technologies.
