Software Engineering Manager, AI Glasses

Meta is seeking a highly experienced Embedded Software / Firmware Engineering Manager to join our AI Glasses Hardware team. As an engineering manager, you will support, enable, and empower your team, managing engineers to make a meaningful impact on billions of people around the world. As a leader in the tech industry, we are looking for someone who can drive innovation, collaboration across organizations, and demonstrate technical experience. This role delivers firmware for AI Glasses and charging cases, initiates and collaborates with Cross Functional Partners (XFN) experts on NTI workstreams, create prototypes for new AI glasses features or use cases, and influences future chipset architecture directions. The team deliverables include the full stack of software from microcontrollers to iOS/Android Apps.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of embedded software and firmware engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutions for hardware platforms including AI Glasses, Charging cases, and associated NTIs Mentor and support engineers' growth and success, help them to find and focus on their strengths Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, product) to drive technical innovation in embedded systems Develop and implement technical strategies to achieve business objectives within the constraints of embedded environments

Qualifications

Proven track record of supporting teams as a highly technical hands on manager Hands-on Experience in coding for microcontrollers, SOCs, RTOS, and embedded environments 2+ years managing managers, 5+ years managing technical teams BS / MS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, relevant work experience) Experience in leading teams interfacing with Hardware (sensors, silicon) teams in setting requirements and product tradeoffs Experience managing joint hardware-software development and associated rapid prototyping projects Experience with iOS and Android app development Experience building and leveraging AI to support team productivity and efficiency

Compensation: $219,000/year to $301,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
