As the Market Intelligence Specialist, you will research and determine industry capacity and cost/margins for wafers, substrates, package, assembly and test. You will require this information as it will be critical for partnering with the Global Commodity Management teams as they negotiate supply agreements and long term agreements. You will operate at the intersection of Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance and provide deep insights and business acumen. Your role will be critical to the success and growth of AI Infrastructure and Google Cloud.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and successful delivery of complex silicon systems.
  • Create and maintain policies, processes, procedures, methods, tests, and documentation of silicon deliverables for the purpose of enhancing and promoting high efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
  • Identify test requirements, select appropriate tools, methods, and approaches, and carry out testing of Silicon systems, influence designs to enable and enhance testing, validation, and debugging.
  • Conduct research and provide insight into industry capacity and capex growth plans for wafers, substrates and OSAT.
  • Collaborate extensively with Engineering, Finance and Commodity teams to influence and shape contracts and long term agreements.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in the Silicon industry, in a Foundry environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • 10 years of experience in the Silicon industry, in a Foundry environment, with a progressive increase in scope and responsibilities.
  • Experience interacting with different technical and non-technical teams spanning multiple organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of process technology, wafer manufacturing, substrates and packaging/assembly/test.
