The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Perform deep-dive analysis on workloads and kernels to identify performance bottlenecks and others miss.
- Plan and evaluate ARM architecture features, providing data-driven insights that shape future SoC designs.
- Partner with Android workload owners, tool-chain experts, and device teams to implement full-system optimizations.
- Design the benchmarks and modeling methodology that will define the next decade of hardware/software co-design.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience with programming in C/C++ or Java, and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
- Experience in one or more of the following three areas; linux kernel (particularly processes, threads, scheduling, syscalls, interrupts and exceptions), toolchains (experience on compilers, JIT compilation and symbolization) or, android system software stack.
- Experience conducting full-stack performance analysis and optimization on software systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
- Ability to be a fast and effective learner and to be comfortable with working on issues with ambiguity.
- Ability to diving into new technical territories.
