Post PRQ performance enabling lead - Define, develop and execute platform performance validation for Intel Xeon products during Sustaining and IPU release phases. This position is vital due to the critical nature of performance metrics and the challenges faced by current products in maintaining competitiveness. The candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the Xeon products meet performance and power efficiency standards, significantly impacting customer ramp-up and overall satisfaction. The candidate will drive platform level usage optimization under specific scenarios, develop key performance indicators and performance benchmarks, and drive execution, reporting, and documentation of results. Candidate will develop performance validation methodologies, execute validation plans, and collaborate with other engineers for design optimization, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. Candidate will perform platform level debug to identify root causes and resolve functional and triage failures for performance issues. Develop post silicon validation infrastructure (e.g., performance monitors, behavioral checkers, state space coverage) and test environment used in validation. Candidate will collaborate with internal customer focused teams to replicate and debug performance issues and provide impact assessment of functional bugs on performance.Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Masters or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related discipline with min 7+ Years of Experience on platform performance and power optimization is a plus-Good problem solver with strong hands on skills for programming using Python/Unix Shell scripting/C and able to do source code level tuning and debug firmware/platform issues and build scripts for automating workload generation and measurement tasks-Good understanding of Intel Architecture Operating System Drivers, BIOS flows, compute/memory/storage performance design fundamentals- Familiarity with popular server workloads measurement methodologies including SPECCPU, Linpack, FIO, MLC, SpecPower is highly desired. Experience must also be inclusive of 1. Platform validation and or debug experience Intel Architecture and Server Platform experience. 2.Familiarity with debugging tools such as Intel ITP based environments, protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, power meters and DAQs. 3.
