Senior Software Engineer

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing sophisticated systems and software solutions aligned with our ISG Product Development customers’ business goals and needs. Your work will focus on creating tools and platforms that enable streamlined infrastructure management, robust security, and standardized automation. These solutions will enhance the overall developer experience, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate delivery across engineering teams.

You will:

System Development - Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software solutions that interact with and manage configuration items (CIs) such as servers, switches, storage arrays, PDUs, and virtual machines.
Specifications - Prepare detailed software specifications that define how systems will integrate with and manage these CIs, based on architectural diagrams and technical documentation.
Documentation - Create, review, and maintain design, functional, technical, and user documentation to ensure clarity and consistency across infrastructure and software components.
Testing Strategies - Develop, review, and implement comprehensive test strategies to validate software functionality, CI integrations, and overall system reliability.
Workflow Integration - Design and implement workflows that streamline infrastructure management and automation, ensuring seamless integration of our software services with platforms such as ServiceNow for configuration management, incident handling, and lifecycle operations.

Essential Requirements

3–5 years of professional experience in software development with strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot Framework, Microservice Architecture, and RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React for building modern web applications.
Solid understanding of HTTP protocol and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot network-related issues.
Exposure to infrastructure environments and familiarity with DevOps practices, including working with configuration items (servers, switches, storage arrays, PDUs, VMs).
Experience collaborating in agile development environments and contributing to CI/CD workflows.

Tech Stack: Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Node.js, React, ServiceNow, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, SQL.

Desirable Requirements

Experience with Linux-based development environments (Eclipse, Git), scripting (Linux bash, Windows PowerShell, Python), and working with databases such as MongoDB and SQL.
Familiarity with workflow and automation tools (ServiceNow, Jenkins/CloudBees), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and secure communication protocols (SSH, SMB).
