Senior Technical Program Manager, AI/ML, Finance

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance stakeholders, including SMEs and Process Owners, to understand business tests, processes, and opportunities for AI and data-driven solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear, feasible technical requirements, solution designs, and actionable project roadmaps, considering the key AI/ML capabilities.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end life-cycle of technical projects, encompassing discovery, design, prototyping, development, integration, testing, launch, and ongoing monitoring.
- Possess familiarity with available technologies to rapidly build and iterate on prototypes that can serve as the foundational design for development.
- Connect insights and opportunities across different Finance functions and technical initiatives to maximize impact and efficiency.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- Experience working with AI to prototype and iterate designs, establishing the groundwork for final development.
- Experience managing the software development life-cycle and shipping technical products.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience working within or closely with finance domains (e.g., accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, procure-to-pay).
- Understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, data governance, and business intelligence principles.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and drive consensus across cross-functional and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent investigative, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
