About the team and the role:
We are looking for a Business Continuity Management professional with a strong operational background to join the global Business Continuity Management (BCM) team in Austin, Texas!
The BCM program is a critical component of the Legal Strategic Initiatives team, focused on ensuring eBay's resilience across its global operations. You will be supporting the delivery of Business Continuity Management implementation operations covering all aspects of the business continuity lifecycle, including engagement with partners across all business functions, developing and delivering training and awareness programs, conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIAs) to identify critical processes and recovery time objectives, facilitating the creation and maintenance of comprehensive business continuity plans (BCPs), and designing and driving effective simulation and testing exercises. You will report directly to the Head of Business Continuity Management.

What you will accomplish:
- Coordinate with leaders throughout the organization to ensure coverage of all business functions within the BCM program.
- Own and complete the end-to-end BCM training program, owning the development, maintenance, and tracking of training across the organization.
- Support and guide global teams in developing comprehensive Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), helping team members employ their specialized knowledge to articulate critical processes, dependencies, and establish Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).
- Facilitate the development and documentation of recovery strategies to continue/restore our most critical business functions, ensuring these strategies are sound and directly based on the outcomes and priorities established in the approved BIAs.
- Support users and drive system improvements to optimize the BCM ServiceNow tool efficiency.
- Mitigate Third-Party Risk: Support the vendor resiliency vetting process to ensure critical third-party dependencies are appropriately handled, thereby shielding eBay from external supply chain disruptions.
What you will bring:
- Dedication to working Hybrid model with 3 days per week onsite at either our Austin, TX office or our Salt Lake City, UT office.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, or Emergency Management.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of direct, hands-on experience in a Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery role.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach and the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a successful track record of building relationships with diverse, cross-functional business stakeholders to facilitate program implementation.
- Proven experience working with BCM software solutions (e.g., ServiceNow, Fusion Risk Management) for planning and testing is advantageous.
- Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, such as ISO 22301 and completion or active pursuit of industry certifications such as the Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) is highly valued.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$61,600 - $103,600Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
