Responsibilities

Develop and execute software tests. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services. Test system modifications. Participate in product design. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering. Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks. Document software and application defects. Identify critical business or product needs and propose and design product and/or software solutions to resolve them. Write product and architecture design proposals, present them to peers, receive and integrate appropriate feedback. Manage multiple cross-functional and cross-team relationships, ensuring high quality communications across groups. Identify and manage technical conflict within and across teams and functions. Appropriately defend and advocate for technical decisions using data. Coach and mentor junior software engineers in both technical and leadership skills. Participate in regular engineering on-call rotations, acting as first responder for critical production systems and services.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Requires completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following: Java, Javascript, HTML, and CSS Building maintainable and testable code bases including API design and unit testing techniques GIT Linux, UNIX or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands and shell scripting Data structures and algorithms

Compensation: $201,572/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
