Head of Vendor Solutions, Cloud Vendor Management Organization
The Cloud Vendor Management Organization (VMO) builds strategic partnerships that enable business success and catalyze growth. This includes defining vendor strategy, sourcing, contracting, service delivery management, governance and vendor management functions across all business areas of Google Cloud.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategy, vendor solutions, sourcing, risk and compliance and governance for our core vendor functions. You will include executing the VMO strategy, drive innovation and transformation across our vendor landscape, Lead the sourcing and vendor selection process, Lead the contracting, risk and compliance functions for the VMO.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $218,000-$306,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Identify work areas that can be delivered using vendors and build appropriate delivery models and solutions.
- Lead the contracting process, including liaison with legal and procurement functions and transform agreements into a critical enabler that drives business performance, incentivizes innovation, optimizes cost and reduces risk.
- Develop relationships with key strategic partners engaging at executive levels towards building 360 degree partnerships that drive strategic initiatives and co-creation of innovative solutions.
- Manage a team of skilled vendor solution consultants that perform various vendor functions listed above. Coach, mentor, guide and provide escalation support to the team across all listed functions.
- Develop governance, reporting across all risk exposure areas and develop mitigation strategies for gap areas.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in vendor operations and vendor service delivery in IT extended workforce, procurement.
5 years of experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in multi vendor operations management for scaled operations and vendor relationship management.
- Experience engaging with vendor account leader.
- Understanding of service agreements, statements of work for outsourced operations.
Ability to influence and engage with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage a budget and expertise in driving cost optimization.
