Communications Manager, AI Infrastructure
As a member of the Google Cloud Communications team, you will collaborate with other cross-functional teams to communicate with journalists and thought leaders, develop specific communications materials and devise thought leadership campaigns. You'll understand the power of Google’s Cloud products and tell the story of how we help our customers innovate. You'll engage in face-to-face meetings with internal executives and external opinion formers, and develop print and web-based materials supporting these campaigns.

As a key member of the Google Cloud and Infrastructure Communications team, you will work cross-functionally to shape the communications strategy for our AI infrastructure portfolio and drive executive communications for senior leadership. You will maintain relationships with journalists and influencers, develop compelling written materials and campaigns, and create new programs to counter misinformation that impacts our business. A major part of this role involves collaborating with executives across the organization, leveraging a deep understanding of the technologies and policies shaping the industry today.

Responsibilities
- Help continuously refine and evolve the Google AI Infrastructure narrative to ensure it remains at the industry shifts, translating technical milestones into always-on storytelling.
- Design and execute a proactive thought-leadership platform for executives, identifying and securing high-impact placements across speaking events, Tier-1 media, bylines, and influential industry podcasts.
- Develop a proactive calendar of announcements that supports core narrative pillars and drives them forward.
- Work closely with cross-functional counterparts to identify opportunities for joint storytelling.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in external and executive communications within the enterprise technology industry.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working on large events and projects that require cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to quickly learn about various areas of public policy, energy, and sustainability.
- Ability to think strategically and develop creative communications strategies that drive measurable results.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines with excellent project management skills.
- Excellent relationship management skills with an established network of contacts across business and technology media.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and build relationships with key stakeholders.
