Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, GenAI and Gemini
Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
As the Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, you will support and lead engagements with strategic partners to advance product roadmaps across Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Gemini. You will be responsible for setting partnership strategy, managing high-priority relationships with key partners and executing with the partner. You will also establish formal agreements with these partners to promote product distribution or bespoke technical integrations. A key enabler for success will be your ability to work cross-functionally (Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal) to manage strategic relationships, balance priorities from different product areas, and bring complex agreements to fruition. Additionally, your ability to communicate efficiently and effectively will be paramount to success.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Oversee partner engagement and relationship by tracking business/technology metrics and insights, building business forecasts, and ensuring strong brand/reputation management.
- Oversee strategic relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders/teams to drive the best partner experience and ensure product excellence.
- Oversee end-to-end partner experience to ensure agreement integration which includes negotiating and finalizing agreements, executing on account plans, pitching to partners, resolving partner issues and advocating on behalf of the partner.
- Oversee partner strategy, including new partner and opportunity prospecting.
- Conduct partner/industry research and collaborate on product strategy.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting, in the Consumer Electronics, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or other advanced degree.
- Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
- Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
