With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

In this role, you will lead and work with the internal customers, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions in the management and operations plane of Google's global network. With your expertise, you will build large-scale networking or security solutions. You will have an opportunity to work at the forefront of emerging networking technologies and help shape the future of large-scale networks.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy, charter and architecture for network security and the associated management plane infrastructure.
  • Partner with customers, stakeholders, cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and build the products to meet those requirements.
  • Drive the innovation to incorporate AI technologies in the software solutions.
  • Drive the delivery of security enhancements to meet Google Cloud's security mandate.
  • Own reliability and safety of the management plane systems.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience with software defined networking, network automation, and AI.
