The Age Assurance team’s mission is to provide Google with reliable, privacy-preserving age signals and to support seamless, age-appropriate journeys across Google products. In this role, the team plays a critical part in identifying minors through predictive methods and designing user experiences that allow users to proactively verify their age to access sensitive content.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams and develop understanding of the underlying product problems that the team is aiming to solve. Design and inform analysis and collaborate closely with cross-functional counterparts and product leads while designing analysis.
  • Translate business problems into tractable investigative problems and execute analysis to drive change.
  • Develop and improve inference and prediction algorithms in high-stakes.
  • Perform data analysis and modeling to identify opportunities for product improvement and measure the impact of initiatives to continuously refine our products.
  • Help design and analyze experiments and consult with engineering teams on the analysis of A/B tests.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a PhD degree.
