Strategic Partner Development Lead, Commerce, Partnerships
Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.
As Strategic Partner Development Manager, you will build relationship that grows in a changing environment, demonstrates a working knowledge of internal Google processes, products, and teams, and revels in managing partnerships for Google. You will help deepen relationships with key industry partners, execute agreements, and track impact, enabling Google to be successful. You will possess proficiency in skills such as relationship-building, negotiation, project management, and collaboration. You will be a positive, team-player excited to help shape Google's future in Shopping and contribute meaningfully to building a positive and fun team culture.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Own partner experience to ensure agreement integration which includes partnering and finalizing agreements, executing on account plans, pitching to partner, resolving partner issues and advocating on behalf of partners.
- Develop the partner strategy, including new partner and opportunity prospecting. Conduct partner/industry research and collaborate on product strategy.
- Identify key stakeholders across Ads, Large Customer Sales, Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to build networks and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for assigned component(s) of a project.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of the industry/vertical/market, and an understanding of Google partner ecosystems.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally at all levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or other advanced degree.
- 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships or management consulting in the ad tech, retail, shopping or technology industries.
- Experience working autonomously in an ever-changing and collaborative environment.
- Experience in managing partnerships.
- Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with partners.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
