Senior Technical Program Manager, Core ML

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Manage workstreams including requirements gathering and risk assessment.
• Work closely with researchers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features and capabilities across various workstreams.
• Identify and solve cross-functional and inter-team issues quickly.
• Manage multiple interdependent projects of moderate to high complexity and scope.
• Develop recommendations that translate into a course of action.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 8 years of experience in program management.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a specific focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and managing the ML life-cycle.
• Ability to communicate effectively across a wide variety of functions, stakeholders, and organizational levels.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and follow up on tasks and inquiries on behalf of engineering teams.
