As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the operational leadership development of the compound semiconductor wafer fabrication facility. You will be a key leader, leading the execution of the entire flow from materials receipt to finished goods shipment; driving performance metrics; leading continuous improvement initiatives; and ensuring the cost-effective production of our advanced display wafers.Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $208,000-$293,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership for all production teams including Epitaxy, fabrication (fab), and Test. Ensure execution against daily, weekly, and quarterly fab goals, including safety, quality, and output objectives.
  • Drive fab throughput by conducting daily constraint mitigation activities for tools, labor, or material, identifying and resolving bottlenecks across entire production flow.
  • Direct all aspects of logistics, including inbound materials, shipping and receiving, and internal fab material movement, while implementing inventory management strategies to improve stock levels for raw materials, consumables, and finished goods and mitigating obsolescence risk.
  • Define, track, and drive key operational metrics and reporting (e.g., OEE, cycle time, yield, WIP levels) and develop and present regular performance reports to the executive leadership.
  • Lead lean manufacturing model within fab by mentoring teams to execute continuous efficiency improvement projects, reducing waste and improving cycle time.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial), Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in operations leadership and scheduling within a wafer fabrication facility.
  • 5 years of experience leading and managing operational teams in a production manufacturing environment.
  • Experience applying lean manufacturing, six sigma, or value stream mapping principles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing the operational aspects of fabrication (fab) in the US, including capacity planning and factory simulation within semiconductor environment.
  • Experience in data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, JMP) to drive data-based decisions for metrics and reporting along with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and its operational implementation for process monitoring and yield stability.
  • Excellent communication and change management skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
