Software Engineer II, Agent Development Kit

- Design, develop, and maintain quality, open-source Software Development Kit (SDKs) for the Agent Development Kit (ADK) framework.
- Build and improve tooling to support the AI agent development life-cycle using ADK, including testing, debugging, deployment, and observability.
- Collaborate with internal and external developers to understand their needs and translate them into new features and improvements for the AI agent ecosystem.
- Work with cloud teams to ensure deployment and management of AI agents built with ADK on Google Cloud Platform and other environments.
- Develop and enhance the open-source SDKs for the Agent Development Kit (ADK) framework.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with AI, machine learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or AI agents.
- Experience building applications for enterprise needs, which includes AI safety, data residency, integration with existing systems.
- Understanding of needs of the Cloud customers and ability to bridge the gap between AI technology and real-world use cases outside of Google.
