At Google, data drives all of our decision-making. As part of the Finance Business Intelligence team, you will use data to inform business and product decisions across the company. Using your technical skills, business acumen and creativity, you will build tools to automate reporting and generate insight that will allow clients to quickly and accurately see how our key business products and processes are performing. Previous experience managing finance systems projects, with emphasis on providing business intelligence and data driven insight through reporting, will have equipped you well for this role. You’ll be involved in projects from inception to delivery, ensuring that your reporting delivers high-quality and relevant data to intelligently grow our business. You will also have extensive knowledge of key financial systems, such as Oracle and Hyperion, and experience working with a range of other business intelligence tools and platforms.

Finance Data and Analytics (DnA) team combines business acumen, technology and innovation to organize data, enable insights and create data driven and efficient Finance organizations in Google. As part of this team, you will have a unique opportunity to gain perspectives on Google’s core businesses, services and the products.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will collaborate with data engineers, analysts and Product Managers to create end-to-end data solutions to enable our finance partners to make informed decisions, manage risks and opportunities.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Finance teams, understand their data needs and build plans to address those with intelligent data solutions in a timely and sustainable fashion.
  • Deliver data solutions that tell a story and provide insights to the users, enabling them to make better decisions and more efficiently complete their responsibilities.
  • Incorporate best practices for reporting, dashboards and scorecards, data visualization to ensure the data solutions are and remain relevant in filling the information gaps of the finance organization.
  • Maintain highest levels of development practices including: technical design; solution development; systems configuration; test documentation/execution; issue identification and resolution; writing clean, modular and self-sustaining code.
  • Ensure the integrity of data under the purview of the projects, including establishing security procedures to protect and maintain the highest level of confidentiality and data security.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or quantitative analysis related fields.
  • Experience in Programming and SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker etc.
  • Experience working on teams that manage large scale data projects.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling and data architecture.
