In this role, you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.

  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Design, develop, and integrate features for Google’s software-defined WAN (SDN) to ensure high availability, global scalability, and seamless new product introductions (NPI).
  • Debug and resolve issues within an integrated networking ecosystem, focusing on traffic engineering, congestion management, and admission control.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience coding with languages like C++, or Python

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience building and developing infrastructure or distributed systems.
  • Experience optimizing software system performance.
  • Experience in networking technologies/concepts such as software defined networking (SDN).
  • Knowledge of internet routing technologies and router/switch telemetry.
