About the role:

We’re seeking a Senior Manager of Events to lead strategy, planning, and end-to-end production for high-profile employee and executive events at eBay. This role will be responsible for a portfolio of marquee programs - including Global All Hands, Leadership Week, Director+/VP meetings, executive AMAs, large-scale campus events, and select external-facing activations. They will work in partnership with eBay leaders to ensure experiences are impactful, inclusive, on brand, and flawlessly executed.

This leader will manage day-to-day operations, vendor relationships, budgets, and cross-functional workflows, while elevating creative and production standards across the company.

What you will accomplish:

Event Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the strategy, design, and execution of live, hybrid, and virtual events that support eBay’s business priorities, culture, and global employee experience.

  • Own and manage the master event calendar, balancing priorities, resources, and timelines across multiple regions and concurrent programs.

  • Build scalable event frameworks, playbooks, and toolkits to support consistency, quality, and efficiency across teams.

Production & Creative Excellence

  • Provide creative direction for themes, staging, lighting, set design, and audience engagement, ensuring all experiences reflect eBay’s brand, voice, and values.

  • Oversee all production elements including audiovisual, streaming/broadcast, staging, rehearsals, and live show execution.

  • Serve as lead stage manager for executive-facing programs, supporting leaders with confidence, professionalism, and care.

Operational & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Internal Comms, Ops, PMO, Security, Facilities, IT, and external agencies to ensure clear workflows, timelines, and accountability.

  • Manage registration platforms and attendee data, using insights to continuously improve communications and experience design.

Safety, Accessibility & Compliance

  • Ensure all events meet safety, accessibility, and compliance standards, including ADA requirements, local regulations, and emergency protocols.

  • Partner with Global Security and Facilities to support risk management and executive protection best practices when applicable.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Lead vendor sourcing, contracting, and performance management across agencies, AV partners, venues, and specialty providers.

  • Develop, manage, and reconcile event budgets; forecast spend and identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic negotiation.

  • Oversee food and beverage planning with attention to dietary needs, cultural considerations, and sustainability.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies (including AI-enabled event tools), and best practices in accessibility and hybrid production.

  • Lead post-event reviews and apply learnings to continuously improve event quality and impact.

  • Maintain operational excellence through documentation, production standards, version control, and risk mitigation plans.

What you will bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate events or live production, including leadership of large-scale, executive-level programs in complex, global organizations.

  • Demonstrated success delivering in-person and hybrid events ranging from ~500 to 6,000+ attendees.

  • Strong expertise across event operations: creative development, production, AV, streaming, registration platforms, logistics, and venue management.

  • Experience managing safety, security, and accessibility requirements for corporate events.

  • Proven vendor management and budget ownership experience with strong financial discipline.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of an organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple high-visibility programs simultaneously with focus, adaptability, and attention to detail.

  • CMP certification strongly preferred; additional production or safety certifications are a plus.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$166,000 - $221,600

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
