gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

In this role, you will lead in-market product commercialization, market analysis, customer product needs assessments, and day-to-day technical escalations in order to maintain the success of the customers. You will have the ability to absorb complex technical concepts and to communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences and will interact with product management teams. You will identify opportunities for increased efficiencies, capable of working with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the products and operations. In addition, you will be familiar with online advertising and will have experience working within the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with external clients and internal sales stakeholders to identify customer business objectives and marketing objectives through consultative approach.
  • Lead client meetings to explore opportunities for Technical and Media engagements which help the customers achieve their business objectives.
  • Develop deep expertise of the Google Advertising Products, Customer Infrastructure and the current gTech Ads solutions offerings to be able to consult on or architect technical and media solutions, to meet customer needs
  • Lead complex multi-quarter projects by collaborating closely with cross functional internal and external teams to ultimately lead to customer wins and Google Ads revenue outcomes
  • Lead planning and quarterly business reviews for LCS pod(s) to plan and govern the progress on gTech Ads service delivery and business enablement.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
  • Experience in a customer-facing role working with stakeholders, driving customer technical implementations or transformation programs.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in building proof of concepts using web/scripting technologies (ex: JS, Python and SQL).
  • Experience with the advertising industry and technologies especially in the areas of ad tech measurement, tagging analytics, and attribution.
  • Ability to absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent collaboration skills as the role involves working actively with other groups in Google (Sales teams, Solution Engineers and more).
