The Platform and Devices (P&D) Partnerships Strategy and Operations team creates and drives cohesive business strategy across the suite of P&D products such as Android, Play, Chrome, ChromeOS, Google One/Photos, Workspace, Auto, Home, IoT, Enterprise, Starline, Privacy Sandbox and more. We deeply understand the partner ecosystem and markets in which these products operate, and apply structured analysis and reasoning to help shape and execute strategy. We also drive thought leadership across our products and markets to inform strategic decisions across the P&D and broader Global Partnerships Leadership teams. We also partner closely across key stakeholders in Business Development (BD), Product Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and the broader Global Partnerships (GP)/Partnership Solutions and Go-To-Market (PSGTM) organizations to drive scaled impact for our business and product partners.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Act as thought partner to the Platform and Devices Partnership team.
  • Shape P&D partnership strategy and priorities, drive leadership engagements (e.g., CoF review, annual planning, executive visits), ensuring fast decision-making, focus and delivery against the highest priorities across the business.
  • Lead executive engagement and presence in the region, activate global and regional priorities via clear strategy and communication.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires communicating with clients and stakeholders locally and internationally.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience in working across various cultures and with stakeholders (e.g interfacing with local, global, regional teams, to drive regional and local execution).
  • Knowledge of Google platform and devices products or partners.

  • Ability to effectively influence, communicate and drive change with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation development skills, with the ability to take complex ambiguous topics and turn them into stories that spark an audience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills.
