Job Summary:

This job is responsible for leading complex engineering operational projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing engineering, technical, and procurement activities related to planning, executing, supervising, and controlling technical, operational, financial, budgeting, and contractual commitments.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Scope: The project & program responsibilities are focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system from design to release for customers.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver engineering operational projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and procurement activities.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project budgets and financials.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.

Job Addiitional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for scalable solutions across financial systems and payment platforms.
  • Design and optimize complex SQL logic including stored procedures, views, and functions with strong performance tuning for large-scale datasets.
  • Architect and maintain ETL workflows and data warehouse solutions, ensuring high data integrity and efficient processing.
  • Develop automation frameworks for recurring financial processes using advanced scripting (SQL, Excel VBA, Python preferred).
  • Analyze and model payment and financial datasets to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, finance) to design robust technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Document technical requirements and functional specifications, ensuring traceability and compliance.
  • Perform impact analysis for new products and projects on financial applications and associated data flows.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production defects, ensuring minimal downtime and strong incident management.
  • Design and implement BI dashboards and reporting solutions for operational insights and executive metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in SAP HANA development and analytics, preferably in payment or financial services.
  • Expertise in SQL performance tuning and stored procedure development in SAP HANA or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data warehouse architecture, and BI platforms (e.g., Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Advanced Excel (including VBA), SQL, and data modeling skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations and payment ecosystems.
  • Experience in automation and process optimization within technical program environments.
  • Ability to work in rotational 24x7 on-call support and overlap with US Central time zone (preferred hours: 4 PM – 1 AM IST).
  • Background in technical program management or operations engineering with proven ability to drive complex initiatives.
