As a Principal Workspace Strategic Cloud Engineer, you will provide exceptional technical guidance to customers adopting Google Workspace (GWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. This includes providing best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. You will also provide prescriptive guidance in ensuring that customers receive the best of what GWS and GCP can offer and have the best experience in migrating collaboration services to GWS and building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in GCP. Additionally, you will work closely with product management and product engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,000-$263,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment planning workshops to scope customer migrations to GWS, including capabilities, timelines and risks.
  • Develop technical architecture to document integrations specific to customer environments.
  • Conduct super administrator functions to configure and troubleshoot customer implementations, including networking, identity, security, integrations, etc.
  • Project and capture new customer feature requests unique to US Public Sector and interact with GWS product and engineering teams to scope delivery.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for GWS pre-sales and delivery projects for high priority customer engagements.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.
  • Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Workspace Admin Console managing users, services, and security settings.
  • Understanding of security protocols, data privacy, and how to maintain the security of the Google Workspace domain.
  • Familiarity with general cloud computing concepts and the Google Cloud ecosystem.
  • Ability to provision, manage, and secure user access, create and manage groups, and configure Organizational Units (OUs).
  • Excellent skills in controlling and configuring core Google Workspace services like Gmail, Drive, and Calendar.
