Senior Software Engineer, Network Security

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Google's Global Network Security team are responsible for the lifecycle of a network that reaches from core data centers to edge locations, providing the foundation for services like Gemini, Gmail, Search, and YouTube, while also supporting cloud networking for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) customers and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) initiatives.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

• Work with the peer teams in understanding the workflows and issues, train and land features.
• Design and implement services to scan assets and report vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain security services to manage security artifacts used by Google's global infrastructure.
• Work with the cross-functional team partners to understand their requirements and build the products to meet those requirements.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development with programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Golang, or Python).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with programming languages such as Golang and C++.
• Experience in developing or working with distributed cloud based software systems.
• Experience in building software applications in the networking, infrastructure, and security environments.
