As a Field Sales Manager (FSM) for Public Sector, you will manage a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) who promote to our new and existing Public Sector accounts related to different public entities across Canada. You will leverage existing relationships with C-level executives, develop new relationships, and act as a trusted business partner to understand their unique company issues and goals. You will participate actively in all aspects of building the business, including attainment of assigned objectives, business planning, demand generation, account engagement, and acquisition/account-based marketing activities. You will advocate the innovative power of our products to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 170,000-174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of FSRs and build a growth culture, focusing on talent strategy and skills development to exceed business goals for your territory and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivate executive relationships with customers and influence long-term direction by understanding their technology footprint and strategy, growth plans, business drivers, and engaged landscape.
  • Generate business growth opportunities by leading account strategy and working collaboratively with customer developer and Google partners to create new opportunities and lead public sector customers through the entire business cycle.
  • Represent your territory in business planning, town halls, and team meetings, reporting accurate and timely forecasting and business performance.
  • Advocate for Google Cloud, our products, and our customers by travelling to and presenting at, customer meetings, conferences, and other related events as needed.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company.
  • Leadership experience, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing and leading a team.
  • Experience working with, and managing, cross-functional internal teams (e.g., business development, customer developer, partner sales) and external partners in implementation of projects and negotiations.
  • Experience working with the Ontario provincial government.
  • Experience driving growth of cloud technologies in the public sector market.
  • Ability to manage business and commercial models while leading organizational transformations and delivering on results.
