Public Affairs Manager, Regional Data Centers

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $171,000-$254,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Safeguard the data center lifecycle in existing and future data center markets through public affairs strategies and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
- Build and maintain critical relationships with government officials, community leaders, and key opinion formers to ensure a positive and sustainable operating environment for our facilities.
- Manage public affairs projects across multiple states, ensuring a cohesive and impactful strategy and collaborate with a broad set of internal teams and external partners to bring projects from concept to completion, upholding the highest standards of the organization.
- Serve as a key ambassador for Google by amplifying Google's economic, energy, sustainability, and social contributions with key stakeholders.
- Translate our initiatives into local benefits, positioning Google's presence for growth and innovation and act as a key advocate for Google's priorities as they relate to data center market development.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in public affairs.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time as needed.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with public policy teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience developing and executing strategies to deliver exceptional solutions.
- Experience executing cross-functional projects.
- Ability to identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and operate in a changing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and political/communication skills and ability to operate independently.
