As a part of the Cluster Security Manager of the South-Bay Area, you will lead Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) Operations program across one of the Google campuses. You will be responsible for all aspects of physical security on a designated campus. You will work with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the security and safety of Google. You will co-ordinate or support physical security (security services, access control and CCTV systems, site surveys), risk/threat assessments, on campus - investigations, protective services, travel safety, event security and EHS programs. You may also supervise employees and contractors performing specific security and safety objectives and monitor vendor performance and expenses.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the campus security program and site-specific operations ranging from specialized in-house programs to traditional vendor services, including emergency response and special events.
  • Establish security standards and policies while managing vendor operations for security, training, protective services, and risk assessments.
  • Co-ordinate with internal partners (GSRS, HR, Legal) and external emergency services to manage campus security and lead field efforts during on-site incidents.
  • Conduct data analysis and benchmarking for risk assessments, create and present travel briefings regarding crime and health risks.
  • Engage with facilities to resolve security deficiencies and ensure regulatory compliance, requires being on-site five days per week and availability outside business hours.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in either managing security operations within a multinational corporation, managing law enforcement operations, or managing military security operations.
  • Experience working with vendors and managing contracted security personnel.
  • Experience in the assessment of operational security risk.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing security operations and security personnel with a proven track record of delivering high quality, customer-oriented security programs.
  • Experience working with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
  • Knowledge of security technologies including CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy with high ethical standards and proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
