Director, Corporate Communications, Google Cloud
Google Cloud is one of the fastest growing parts of Google. It encompasses the technical infrastructure that is the backbone for all of Google AI services, platform and tooling for enterprise developers, Gemini Enterprise which acts as the front door for AI for every employee, and a unique set of first-party agents and third-party agents that work together to streamline every part of the business.
As the Director of Corporate Communications for Cloud, you will act as the lead business partner for central functions like finance and HR, own the executive comms function for several c-level executives, and be responsible for organization wide communication channels and meetings. In this role, you will shape our overall business narrative, internal and external communications strategies, crisis communications, and more.
As a senior leader on the team, you will be expected to manage and grow a team of communications professionals, work cross-functionally to communicate with journalists and other thought leaders, devise communications materials such as earning scripts, and support comms for the Cloud CEO.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$356,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an internal and external comms team over time. Build and sustain communications programs across multiple channels.
- Deliver confident, convincing and crisp communication both in written and verbal form and negotiate effectively with stakeholders. Provide strategic counsel to senior Google Cloud stakeholders.
- Educate business, policy, and technology press on Google Cloud's unique value position, including our AI strategy. Manage ongoing executive communications opportunities, including media briefings, speaking engagements, and customer and partner activities.
- Develop creative and scrappy PR strategies and tactics that align with the brand. Collaborate closely with other Google teams on initiatives spanning competition, privacy, security, and more.
- Liaise directly with Google’s internal communications leadership on key issues impacting employees.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 20 years of experience in PR and internal communications.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in earnings script writing.
- Experience working with enterprise technology at a multi-product company as a senior communications leader, and with high-stakes crisis.
- Management experience across internal and external communications.
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies and policy landscape, including artificial intelligence, privacy, and security.
- Understanding of financial reporting terms and requirements, social media platforms, and building profiles.
- Outstanding organizational skills and accountability combined with ability to grow careers, communicate with senior executives and leadership teams, and build well-developed media relationships across press.
