2. Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) architectures for enterprise customers
- Act as a technical authority for OCI-based solutions across compute, networking, storage, and security
- Translate customer business and technical requirements into end-to-end OCI architecture designs
- Define architecture standards, best practices, and reference architectures for OCI projects
- Lead technical discussions and architecture reviews with customers and internal stakeholders
- Design and guide on-premises to OCI / hybrid cloud architectures and migration strategies
- Collaborate with DB, middleware, and application teams to ensure integrated and scalable solutions
- Identify technical risks and trade-offs and provide clear recommendations to customers
- Support project delivery teams during implementation and critical phases (hands-on when required)
- 8–10+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud architecture, with proven ownership of design decisions
- 3–5+ years of hands-on architecture experience in IaaS environments
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures
- Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native architectures
- Experience working directly with customers on complex technical projects
4.1 Cloud & Infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including:
Compute (VMs, Bare Metal)
Networking (VCN, Subnets, Routing, DRG, Load Balancer)
Storage (Block, Object, File Storage)
Identity & Security (IAM, Security Lists)
- Experience with on-premises, hybrid cloud, and cloud migration architectures
- Understanding of virtualization technologies and hybrid environments
4.2 OS & Networking
- Strong knowledge of Linux or Unix-based operating systems
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals:
TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancing, VPN, connectivity
5. Preferred Qualifications
- OCI certification (Architect Associate / Professional) or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with OCI landing zone, security architecture, or governance models
- Experience with enterprise workloads such as databases, ERP, or mission-critical systems
- Exposure to other hyperscaler clouds (AWS, Azure) is a plus, but OCI expertise is the primary requirement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.Responsibilities
Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
