We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world.

Description

As a Facilities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a seamless, productive, and inspiring work environment for Apple employees and visitors in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily facility operations across Berlin and Munich sites, proactively addressing both technical and soft service needs, with a strong focus on supporting business-related events.
  • Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is completed according to schedule and promptly resolve ad-hoc repairs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Places site service inquiries, providing excellent employee and visitor support with a proactive and helpful approach.
  • Manage requests from landlords and vendors, ensuring timely responses and effective issue resolution.
  • Liaise effectively with internal business units and external service providers to ensure efficient service delivery and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Maintain operational compliance by meticulously managing Places tools, procedures, records, and policies, including documentation, reporting, and invoice processing.
  • Conduct facilities contract reviews to ensure adherence to standards, identify opportunities for cost savings, and improve service quality.
  • Support Facility Managers with unplanned requests and projects, providing technical expertise and ensuring timely completion.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for continuous operational improvement, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  • Work independently and thoroughly, taking ownership of assigned tasks and consistently delivering high-quality results.
  • Perform other functional duties as directed and required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team's overall success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Significant experience managing corporate facilities, specifically within the German market.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems within a facility environment.
  • Proven experience managing and coordinating external technical resources (e.g., contractors, vendors) for facility-related projects, ensuring technical requirements are met on time and within budget.
  • Experience managing small-scale construction, refurbishment, and fit-out projects.
  • A solid understanding of real estate and facility administration principles, including budgeting, contract management, and space planning.
  • Fluency in both German and English (written and verbal) is essential.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders, negotiate effectively with vendors, and foster strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive, comfortable, and productive end-user experience for employees and visitors, proactively identifying and addressing their needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and solve problems, contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in operating a location that frequently hosts events.
  • Proficiency in the iOS/macOS environment and MS Office suite.
