Process Engineer - Amazon Logistics
The goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world class last mile operation. Amazon Logistics aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible.
The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team is looking for a Process Engineer to join Australia Engineering team. On this role, the Process Engineer will support the standardization and optimization of our Last Mile delivery network to meet safety, customer experience, productivity, quality and cost goals.
This role involves continuous communication with local functional business owners and technical Engineering teams at World-Wide level.
This role is based in either Sydney or Melbourne. The position requires regular domestic and international travel (approximately 25% of work time).
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead process optimization initiatives across AMZL Delivery Stations to enhance safety standards, customer experience, operational productivity, and cost efficiency
-Collaborate closely with local stakeholders and global Engineering teams to implement best practices and technical solutions
-Design and enhance Amazon Logistics equipment and processes to drive continuous improvement in safety, associate/driver experience, and operational metrics
-Champion standardization and innovation initiatives within the Worldwide Process Engineering Organization
-Manage the implementation of new product features and enhancements for next-generation Delivery Stations
-Develop and present strategic proposals, design concepts, and program updates to senior leadership
-Integrate and standardize new equipment designs, process improvements, and safety enhancements across the network

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or technology
- 4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
- Experience in process design and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors
