Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations Program Manager, you will be the primary Operations/Supply Chain interface to the development and deployment teams with the responsibility for driving operations new product development as well as supporting those products through production ramp. You will lead a team of professionals to ensure products are designed and built to Google standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional Program teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp or product transitions.
  • Plan and execute operations development activities and ensure transition to production within cost, quality and capacity parameters.
  • Ensure successful production transitions meeting program goals.
  • Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (i.e., material availability, cost/assembly/test/BOM/capacity readiness and transition plans).

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in NPI program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or other relevant field.
  • Experience in hardware operations.
  • Knowledge of hardware Bill of Materials (BOMs), process documentation and assembly and test processes.
  • Ability to communicate for project requirements and schedules.
  • Excellent leadership, investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creative and strategic skills.
