The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive the adoption of Wide Area Network (WAN) building blocks and software infrastructure across all organizational routing products.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on WAN networking, routing, and design, focusing on the implementation of vendor features optimized for Google services.
- Advocate OpenConfig adoption across internal organizational platforms and throughout the broader networking industry.
- Cultivate a foundational team culture centered on clear communication and respectful collaboration.
- Facilitate consensus building and cross-functional partnerships with peers, Technical Leads (TLs), and external partners to ensure project success.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
- Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.
