Edge Network Services (ENS) organization designs, builds(deploys), and supports(operates) a network of 3.5B+ active users of at least one Meta App Daily, 3B+ active users from instagram, 3B+ users from whatsapp and 2B+ daily users of Facebook app. The ENS organization is organized into three global groups: “ENS Deployment,” “ENS Foundation,” and “ENS Global Operations.” Each group has global scope across the lifecycle of support. Automation is the key to meeting our demands; you will be responsible for executing on our vision for automated capacity deployment through development of key features on our deployment system. . Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain Front-end and Back-end Systems: Design, code, and modify user interface and applications from layout to function, according to specifications. Strive to create visually appealing sites and applications that feature user-friendly design, clear navigation, and maximum functionality Handle database administration and ensure the integrity of data with proper database design and maintenance techniques Maintain clear documentation of the codebase, user guides, and on-call runbooks that users and future developers can quickly understand and work with the system Collaborate with internal and cross functional partner teams to build integrations between commonly used tools and systems Help build performance monitoring tooling and dashboards and participate in troubleshooting of any issues that may arise Report, troubleshoot, and drive to resolution issues in upstream tooling
Qualifications
10+ years of experience Automation experience in the Networking domain in large scale networks Knowledge and Experience with Network Deployment Process Knowledge of PHP and Javascript or similar web programming languages Knowledge and experience in Python Knowledge and experience in MySQL Knowledge and experience working with APIs Knowledge of Linux OS/networking Ability to work within a global team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision Ability to work independently, finding solutions to problems in a fast changing environment BS or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline Experience with developing or operating distributed systems at scale Experience with React, Hack, and/or GraphQL Knowledge of technology-agnostic approach to engineering
