Role Overview

  • Location: Seoul, Korea 
  • Geographic Responsibility: Korea 
  • Reporting Line: Korea Pre-Sales Manager 
  • Languages: Native-level Korean and fluent English (written and spoken) 

Scope of the Role
As a Customer-Facing Services Solutions Architect, you will work with multiple customers across all sectors in Korea. You will collaborate with Oracle Customer Success Services (CSS) and various cross-functional business units (e.g. Oracle Software, Cloud, Systems) to design and sell comprehensive service solutions. Your focus will span the entire lifecycle of Oracle’s cloud and on-premises portfolio, covering enhanced support, operations, and managed services.
 

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Industry Expertise: 10+ years of experience in IT, with significant experience in a presales or architect role.
  • Technical Breadth: Broad understanding of enterprise applications and infrastructure, including hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Project Leadership: Experience in IT project/program management, particularly in complex migrations and digital transformations.
  • Commercial Acumen: Expertise in constructing and negotiating pricing and custom contracts for complex, mission-critical service offers.
  • Communication: Proven ability to build trusted relationships with customers and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences.
     

Qualifications

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Development: Partner with sales teams to identify, build, and win leading-edge service opportunities for new and existing customers.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as a Trusted Advisor by gathering business and technical requirements to design complete service solutions that meet strategic goals.
  • AI Leadership: Drive strategic initiatives with a focus on Cloud and Artificial Intelligence, specifically leading the AI Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate business value to customers, in collaboration with Oracle AI technical experts. 
  • Solution Design & Costing: Build compelling service propositions, including detailed costing, pricing, and risk assessment, while ensuring alignment with Oracle’s commercial and contracting standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead virtual teams across various internal departments (product management, legal, and delivery) and external partners to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service delivery.
  • Market Insight: Maintain a strong understanding of the IT services competitive landscape to effectively position Oracle’s value.
