Software Developer 2
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer (IC2) to design, build, and maintain scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and infrastructure supporting our healthcare platform. The ideal candidate will be strong in Ruby and infrastructure automation, with hands-on experience across CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Linux systems.
Responsibilities:- Lead design and development efforts for platform services and infrastructure components.
- Build and maintain platform services using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Ruby, and automation tooling.
- Containerize services using Docker and deploy to Kubernetes-based environments.
- Manage and provision infrastructure using Terraform.
- Integrate platform components with enterprise systems and services.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across application, infrastructure, and pipeline layers.
- Improve security, observability, performance, automation, and operational reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable code and maintain technical documentation.
- Provide support for platform deployments and releases.
- Build utilities and automation using shell/bash scripting.
Qualifications
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.Responsibilities
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills:- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline — or equivalent work experience.

2-3 years+ of hands-on software engineering experience.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (required to obtain security clearance).
- Programming experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Hands-on shell scripting (bash/poweshell) and scripting automation.
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization.

Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes (deployments, pods, services, configs).
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Strong Linux background; ability to work comfortably in terminal environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across applications, pipelines, containers, and infrastructure.
- Experience integrating and operating distributed systems.
- Working familiarity with Python, JSON, cloud fundamentals, and basic database administration concepts.
- Experience with ReactJS or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience in healthcare or regulated enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of observability, security, and reliability engineering concepts.
